come to us direct from an organisation with which we're proud to have a relationship – Sadhna, a women's cooperative based in and around Udaipur in Rajastan, which started with just fifteen women as a means of providing an alternate livelihood. Each woman was trained in the arts of appliqué and embroidery making the now famous Rajastan throws and bedspreads, and today the collective includes over 600 women, earning Awards of Excellence for South Asia.

We have a wide variety of throws for sofas with Rajastan bedspreads available in both double and single sizes, each one crafted to the highest standard using high quality materials.

All our bedcovers are hand stitched and can be used as bedcovers, throws or even hangings. Every Egyptian cotton bedcover or Indian bedspread is entirely cotton, stitched to a light canvas backing that allows it to lie or hang flat easily. Each one features stunning Egyptian or Islamic designs, such as the lotus flower – representing love in the old Egyptian Kingdoms.

The worker responsible for any Egyptian cotton bedcover receives a special bonus on top of their normal wage for any of their designs that sell on the Planet Craft website.
